The Growing RFK Jr Coalition

Unherd reports:   The Camelot myth haunts Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He was brought up to believe that he would be the one to pick up the mantle left by Arthur, John F. Kennedy. Even as a precocious 20-year-old — having been hooked on hard drugs since 14, having been expelled from two boarding schools, and having faced a near-fatal heroin overdose — the young Bobby believed it was his “destiny” to be president. Fifty years later, aged 70, Robert F. Kennedy has finally thrown his hat into the ring. He wants to return America to its Camelot era — that brief period of hope and promise after his uncle’s assassination — amid widespread disillusionment with the two main contenders for office. It’s a hard task. No third-party presidential candidate has received over 10% of the vote this century. But with RFK currently polling at 11.7% in the RCP poll of polls, could this election be different? To carve out a path to power RFK must gather a vast number of signatures to enter the ballot in each state; in New York, which has the most stringent ballot laws in the country, he has to obtain 45,000 signatures in 45 days. But that’s what he’s hoping to do in Long Island. “No other presidential candidate in history has got this many signatures in such a short space of time,” he says. “We must vote out of hope — not fear.” Read the full article at this link.   If you resonate with this message, please subscribe to our newsletter to learn more.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Says Americans Are ‘Voting Out of Fear’

The New York Times reports:   Robert F. Kennedy Jr. sought to make the case on Sunday that he can do something no third-party or independent candidate has come close to doing in modern U.S. history: win a presidential election. Although polls show him far behind, both major-party campaigns, those of President Biden and former President Donald J. Trump, view Mr. Kennedy as a potential spoiler. Speaking at a rally on Long Island outside New York City, Mr. Kennedy cited polls that he said his campaign had conducted, showing him winning in two scenarios: one in which he faced only Mr. Biden without Mr. Trump in the race, and one in which he faced Mr. Trump without Mr. Biden. The reason he is behind in a three-way race, he maintained, is that “so many Americans are voting out of fear.” “Their only strategy is to try to keep me off the ballot and then to make everybody terrified of Donald Trump,” he said of Democrats, “and on the other side, they do the same thing,” he added of Republicans. “When somebody is telling you to vote out of fear, they are trying to manipulate you into abandoning your values,” he said. Just Who Are Kennedy Supporters?

The Suffolk Independent reports:   A part of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s long pathway to ballot access in all 50 states ran through Mama Lombardi’s in Holbrook, where rallygoers of all political stripes gathered to be one of the 45,000 signatures required for ballot access in New York. “I can give you back your country,” said Kennedy to an applauding crowd of over 1,000 attendees after outlining his major policy areas. The lofty promise and its accompanying messaging appealed to self-described conservative Republicans and Democrats alike, who, during this period of hyper-partisanship, seem to agree on one thing: RFK Jr.   It’s this appeal that Kennedy believes former President Donald Trump “finds threatening to his presidency” and is driving President Joe Biden to fund efforts to “keep [Kennedy] off the ballot.” Polls do little to clarify the ideological location of Kennedy supporters, with the most recent CNN poll suggesting that all third parties – RFK Jr, Cornell West, and Jill Stein – take more votes away from Biden than Trump. His specific policies and populist rhetoric cast a unique net over the American public.   Read the full article at this link.   If you resonate with this message, please subscribe to our newsletter to learn more.

RFK Jr. Dismisses Trump After Being Called a ‘Democrat Plant’

The Guardian reports:   Robert F Kennedy Jr has dismissed Donald Trump as “unhinged” after a social media tirade from the former Republican president accused the independent White House hopeful of being a “Democrat plant” and “wasted protest vote”. “When frightened men take to social media they risk descending into vitriol, which makes them sound unhinged,” Kennedy wrote Saturday on X in a post that doubled as a debate challenge. “President Trump’s rant against me is a barely coherent barrage of wild and inaccurate claims that should best be resolved in the American tradition of presidential debate.” Read the full article at this link.   If you resonate with this message, please subscribe to our newsletter to learn more.

RFK Jr.’s Third-Party Run — A Game Changer or a Political Spoiler?

Shore News Network reports:   The political landscape is buzzing with theories and accusations as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. forges ahead with his independent presidential campaign, provoking stark reactions from across the spectrum. Recently, former President Donald Trump has vocally criticized Kennedy, labeling him a Democratic “plant” designed to siphon votes and ensure a Democratic victory in the upcoming election. Such a bold claim warrants a deeper exploration of RFK Jr.’s potential impact on the election dynamics. Trump’s assertion on Truth Social that Kennedy is a “Radical Left Liberal” planted to assist “Crooked Joe Biden” in winning re-election encapsulates a common fear among Republicans—that an independent candidate will split the conservative vote. This concern isn’t baseless; history is littered with examples of third-party candidates drawing enough votes away from major party candidates to influence the outcome of an election. Trump’s angle, branding a vote for Kennedy as a “WASTED PROTEST VOTE,” aims to dissuade disenchanted voters from diverting their support from the main Republican contender. Yet, there’s another side to the coin. Democratic leaders are equally perturbed, viewing Kennedy’s campaign as a potential drain on their voter base, particularly among those disillusioned with the current administration yet hesitant to swing right. This dual fear underscores a significant point: RFK Jr. holds a unique position to influence the election from the middle ground, appealing to a broader spectrum of voters who are tired of the traditional bipartisanship and seeking an alternative that speaks to more centrist, progressive values. TikTok Ban: Pro-Bitcoin RFK Threatens Lawsuit To Support ByteDance

CryptoRank reports:   Independent US Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has threatened to contest the TikTok ban based on constitutional rights.  On Saturday, the pro-Bitcoin politician explained to his followers on X that the ban was not exactly what they were made to believe; the harvesting of users’ data.  RFK further described the ban as a “smoke screen.” For context, RFK explained that data harvesting was already happening globally before now especially amongst intelligence agencies in the U.S. In his opinion, Congress and the Biden administration do not have enough information about how TikTok operates.  The video sharing app has been serving as an entrepreneurial platform for many of its young users but according to RFK’s argument it appears that the government does not understand this. “The TikTok ban is yet another example of how neither political party has any compunctions about sacrificing your freedoms, rights, and choices when it serves their political interests,” the politician said. RFK Seeks To Expand Ballot Access In Campaign Built On Distaste For Major Party Nominees

The National Desk reports:   Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s push to get on all 50 states’ ballots took a step forward last week after his campaign announced he would appear on the ballot in the key swing state of Michigan as both major parties fret over his potential impact on November’s election. Kennedy is mounting a longshot independent bid to challenge President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election and hoping to capitalize on broad dissatisfaction with the options for both political parties. The number of voters who say they have high interest in November’s election hit a nearly 20-year low at this point in the race, according to a new NBC poll released Sunday. A majority of voters hold negative views of both Biden and Trump, which has created an opening for a third-party candidate to try to make an impact.
