Trainer: Mass Communications

Job Description:


We are looking for an experienced volunteer trainer to oversee our Mass Communications Volunteer Team to provide comprehensive training and support to our field volunteers conducting digital outreach to voters, volunteers, and supporters. The ideal candidate will have experience leading political phone banks and managing digital email and text campaigns.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver training modules focused on phone banking techniques, digital email and text campaigns, script adherence, objection handling, and effective communication strategies.
  • Conduct multiple virtual orientation and training sessions each week for field volunteers and staff, utilizing interactive tools and leveraging campaign technology platforms and resources to facilitate learning.
  • Create training materials, including how-to guides, scripts, and reference materials to support ongoing learning and development.
  • Collaborate with campaign leadership to identify training needs and tailor programs to address specific challenges and goals.
  • Stay updated on current political issues, campaign priorities, and voter demographics to ensure training content and messaging are aligned with campaign goals and strategies.
  • Provide weekly reports on adherence to OKRs and job performance metrics.
  • Maintain regular communication with field organizers and campaign staff to ensure alignment and coordination of phone banking efforts.


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in large phone banks, call center training, or related fields required.
  • Proven track record of success in phone outreach, with a deep understanding of effective communication techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in virtual training platforms, video conferencing tools, and online collaboration software.
  • Experience with CRM integrated calling platforms (CallHub preferred)
