Let Bobby Debate

We call for RFK Jr. to be included in the presidential debates

For democracy to function, our leading voices must be allowed to interact, so voters can make informed choices.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. must be included in the upcoming presidential debates.

Include Kennedy in the CNN Presidential Debate!

CNN is hosting the first presidential debate on June 27. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is on track to meet CNN’s participation requirements, but Presidents Biden and Trump, and CNN are trying to exclude him anyway. The Washington Post reported:

A Trump campaign official said a CNN producer had given assurances in a call Wednesday morning that “RFK will not be on the stage,” after describing the criteria for the event.

What are we to believe? CNN’s private “assurances” or the criteria it publicly announced?

Colluding with the Trump and Biden campaigns to exclude their strongest challenger is a serious breach of journalistic impartiality.

Fortunately, it is not too late for CNN to stand in integrity and abide by the criteria it announced:

  1. 15% showing in polls
  2. The candidate’s name must appear on a sufficient number of state ballots to reach the 270 electoral vote threshold to win the presidency prior to the eligibility deadline of June 20

Ironically, Biden and Trump are on zero state ballots because they have not yet been nominated by their parties at their conventions. Meaning Kennedy is on more state ballots than both of them combined.

Kennedy is the strongest independent candidate in a generation. The American people deserve to hear him speak.

We call on CNN to respect the voters and its own journalistic integrity and include Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in the June 27 presidential debate.
