Biden Is the Real Spoiler, Kennedy Only Candidate Who Can Beat Trump
NEW YORK, NY—MAY 1, 2024—Independent Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. today announced the results of the largest Presidential election poll of the 2024 election at a press event in Brooklyn, New York.
The poll, conducted by John Zogby Strategies, surveyed more than 26,000 likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 0.6%. Kennedy and his Campaign Manager Amaryllis Kennedy presented key findings from the poll that included comparative results of head-to-head matchups between Presidents Biden and Trump, between Kennedy and President Biden, and between Kennedy and President Trump.
The results were provocative. In a head-to-head matchup, Trump defeats Biden handily. Kennedy beats President Trump in a two-way race, by a tight margin. In a two-way race between Kennedy and President Biden, Kennedy wins in a landslide.
“To be a spoiler, a candidate has to fulfill two requirements — first, they must not be able to win themselves, and, second, by participating in the election, they must prevent someone else from winning who otherwise would,” Kennedy said.
By that criterion, the only spoiler in the race is President Biden. He is the one who cannot win against either candidate and whose presence gives Trump the victory instead of Kennedy.
After presenting the detailed findings, Kennedy called on Biden to step aside so that he can provide American voters with their only viable alternative to four more years of Donald Trump.
He then presented a “No Spoiler Pledge,” which states:
- Both parties agree to co-fund a 50-state poll in mid-October 2024 of 30,000+ likely voters.
- The survey will test the results of a head-to-head race pitting President Biden against President Trump and a second head-to-head race pitting Mr. Kennedy against President Trump.
- Both parties pledge that whomever performs weakest against President Trump in a two-man contest will make way for the candidate who can win.
