Saturday in the Park

We need your help!

Do you want to join us in engaging the community about Kennedy while having fun and watching the parade of lights

Then please join us for Saturday in the Park at the Colorado Springs 40th Anniversary Festival of lights parade.

Expected attendance 70,000+

We will reserve our place in the park for parade viewing early Saturday morning. Starting the day off at 10:00 am by decorating our space for the festival of lights we will have activities for all ages throughout the day.

11:00 Am and 2:00pm Button making

We will have several buttons to choose from and members of the community will be able to make buttons with us to hand out. Participants are allowed to keep one of the buttons they make.

12:00 pm and 3:00 pm Ornament making

We will have several DIY ornament making kits and projects to choose from. Participants will pick one to make and take home with them.

1:00 pm and 4:00 pm Cookie decorating Contest

You are invited to make your favorite sugar, ginger or shortbread cookies to bring to the event for this activity. Participants will choose and decorate a Christmas cookie. The best part about this activity is everyone is a winner, you get to have your cookie and eat it too.

About 5:00 pm we will end activities and prepare to watch the parade of lights set to start at 5:50.

We ask you to wear a Kennedy24 shirt, hoody, hat and or button to show your support for Kennedy24.

We plan to show the community our support for Kennedy by gathering in mass for the parade at 5:30.

We will have Bumper stickers and buttons available for those who want them.  These items are free but we greatly appreciate donations so we can continue supplying the community with buttons and bumper stickers.

Again, this is not an invite to an event.

This is a request for you to come help with this event.

We have 70,000+ members of the community that will be at or near our event. We need your help to reach as many as possible.

Thank you
