Please join other Kennedy supporters to help get RFK, Jr. on the ballot in Illinois, this Friday, June 7th, from 6:00 - 7:45 p.m. in downtown Belleville, Illinois, at the annual Ainad Shriners Parade!
The parade itself begins at 7:30, but please note that we will not be marching in this particular parade. The purpose here is to ask spectators lining the parade route to sign our petition to get Bobby on the ballot before the parade begins, or at least before it reaches their location. This is an excellent opportunity to gather petition signatures, as we can talk to Illinois voters along the route while they are sitting in their lawn chairs waiting for the parade to begin, with little to do.
Petitioners are asked to please meet up in the parking lot behind the Casa Maria Mexican Grill, 100 North High St., at the corner of High Street and West A Street, between 6 and 6:15 p.m. Look for people wearing Kennedy t-shirts and holding clipboards. We will then send teams of petitioners to different points along the parade route. We will petition folks along the route until the front of the parade reaches your spot, wrapping up when the front of the parade reaches the end point. Petitioners who are interested can then meet back up at Casa Maria for food and socializing before heading back home.
We will have maps available but, for those who want the details: The parade route begins at the intersection of North Third St. and West A. St., heads west down A St. to 6th St., heads one block south to West Washington, travels east on West Washington to 3rd St., goes north one block to Main Street, then proceeds east on Main St. to end at about S. Church St. and Main.
This is a Supporter created event and is not associated with the RFK Jr. campaign. RFK Jr. will not be in attendance and any money collected is for the campaign.
